BCBA – Classroom Support Specialist

Achieving True Self is seeking a BCBA to provide classroom-based behavioral support through a community partnership in Baltimore City.

This unique opportunity allows you to:

  • Support individual learners within classroom settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and classroom teams
  • Build staff capacity through coaching, modeling, and consultation
  • Make an impact beyond direct 1:1 services
  • Part-time morning hours available within the community partnership. Additional in-home or center-based hours available if desired. 

Employees will receive an hourly amount between $75-$85 per hour for the position, based on experience. All training and onboarding, annual training requirements, as well as drive time will be paid at $15 per hour. 

What qualifications do I need to join the ATS team? 

  • A Maryland Behavior Analyst License (LBA).
  • BCBA License.
  • Experience working within a classroom setting supporting individuals with intense behavioral support plans (preferred)
  • A valid driver's license with proof of car insurance and a good driving record is required.

What are the responsibilities of a  BCBA – Classroom Support Specialist?

  • Provide individualized consultation for high-need students in the classroom setting
  • Provide support recommendations and individualized BIPs to classroom teachers
  • Supervise RBTs providing 1:1 services in the classroom setting
  • Provide follow up for families.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teams by building rapport, obtaining buy-in, limiting jargon, respecting team roles and successfully training interventions that are realistic 
  • Build relationships with children and families, and create fun, engaging learning experiences.
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and growth by being a steward of ATS’s mission, vision, values, and beliefs.
