Human Resources Assistant
Full Time, Hybrid position - Irwin, PA
Rate Range: $18-$21
The responsibilities of an HR Assistant are:
- Responsible for serving as the primary contact for the HR Onboarding team members and ensuring compliance is achieved during the onboarding process in an efficient manner.
- Provides information and answers questions from candidates, teammates, and management to facilitate the onboarding processes and completion of required employment documents.
- Utilizes applicant tracking system and department workflows to ensure new hires are onboarded quickly.
- Uploads documents and maintains all company personnel files electronically.
- Ensures the onboarding process meets all requirements and adheres to all employment laws
- Maintains and tracks employee records in HRIS system.
- Assists with employee benefits and open enrollment as needed.
- Processes terminations including paperwork and notifications to the relevant departments.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Assists with state audits.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides assistance to employees on policies and procedures.
- Ability to direct employees to the correct department when answering questions by phone or email.
- Runs weekly and monthly reports; ensure employees remain compliant with regulations.
- Participates in various events and meetings for the purpose of representing ATS and their mission and belief
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of ATS.
- Available after-hours and weekends to respond to urgent communication, as needed.
What are the requirements to apply?
- 1 year of prior experience in Human Resources preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills; positive, friendly attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise in Google Drive applications and systems
- Highly organized; strong attention to detail
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change and be resourceful in solving problems
